As some of you may be aware – I moderate the Trivia Tribe tribes.tribe.net/triviarocks

Freemasonry has snuck in there a bit, one of the first threads was Masonic related - I cross posed it here at freemasons.tribe.net/thread/...1b35849c

I tend not to post to much on Freemasonry in the Trivia Tribe though....

Anyway, I thought I would start running little Trivia Boxes in my Lodges Newsletter..

If you have any material – it would be greatly appreciated if you posted the here with a source sighted.. It would need to be short ‘n sweet. If it is not - post it anyway 'cause such stuff is always interesting !

Now, I thought this was an interesting one..

“…In Launceston, Tasmania in 1844; “ St John’s Lodge played a part at the laying of a foundation stone of a Jewish Synagogue. We find that the band of the 96th Regiment, attended by permission of the colonel and officers, playing “Masonic Airs”. The return was made to the lodge room, the band playing alternatively “Burne’s Farewell” and the “Entered Apprentice”…. “
