Re: The Restaurant At The End Of The Masonic Universe
Sat, June 23, 2007 - 6:46 PMNo I didn't make it but I could have. It needs some one on one interviews with people who have left explaining why to give it some punch. Somebody really has to stand up to the people who are leading us slowly to our doom. It seems the more I search the more Masons I find who want to do something about this slow death we are experiencing. I also hope I am wrong about our demise but it never hurts to try to do better even if nobody thougth anything was wrong. -

Definitely - that is how great organisations are not only born - but endure....
I sent the link off to our District Co-ordinator and pasted it onto our district intranet.....
Thanks for pointing this out Alfredo - a nice first post here methinks :) -

Re: The Restaurant At The End Of The Masonic Universe
Sun, June 24, 2007 - 11:24 PMPerhaps, like me, no one has responded to this because at length because it is so self evident as truth… It is hard to discuss something when your only response it “I agree totally”… Reversing the trend is something that has been discussed in other threads.. and I am sure those discussions will be continued… -

Re: The Restaurant At The End Of The Masonic Universe
Mon, June 25, 2007 - 1:38 AMYeah, not much to add. I just posted it because I thought it was good resource, like cool enough to play @ Lodge. My friend burned the clip into dvd, took it to lodge, you know, play it during refreshments. poor guy got chastised, apparently he should've asked permission to do that. What the heck, it's only nine odd minutes, the toasts take longer than that, for pete's sake! -

Groan !!!
We say a good toast is 2 minutes long !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How bad it is when toasts go for 10 minutes.,.... no wonder young Blokes leave... Still we had a 20 minute one once and the Lodge wanted more from the speaker..... because he was actually interesting ! -

Re: The Restaurant At The End Of The Masonic Universe
Mon, June 25, 2007 - 11:26 AMwhere's my pan-galactic gargle blaster?
i found the comments on the video to be a little telling, but i suppose the status quo is always a little crusty... it is a little weird to find such intransigence regarding the lodge, but i guess time has it's way with all of us.
