In the upcoming big budget movie "National Treasure", scheduled for a November release, Nicholas Cage tries to find the "Templar Gold" hidden by our Masonic founding fathers during the revolutionary war. This movie is openly Masonic and I feel every Mason should become aware of it because it will likely become the way the public thinks of our fraternity. If we handle it correctly it could give our fraternity a much needed boost from the publicity it will generate. Information, interviews, and video clips are available at nationaltreasure.movies.go.com/main.html .
I have viewed some of the clips from what I have seen the movie portrays Masonry is a positive light. I think at the very least we will need to become familiar with this movie so we can talk intelligently about it with our friends and family.
What is your reaction to this movie?

Mon, August 20, 2007 - 1:54 AMIt played a minor part in the inspiration for me to look into Freemasonry. Now I'm getting ready to turn in my petition to the local lodge. It's been a decent gap between the two, but I'd say the movie helped to intrigue me. -
